Jess Sepel swears by these vitamins & supplements
I’ve always believed in the power of vitamins. Having worked with clients over the years, I’ve seen the benefits first-hand. But I’ve found that a lot of people don’t know when they should be taking them. Two of the most common questions I’m asked are: “What time of the day should I take vitamins?” and “What kind of vitamins should I take?”
I personally love takingour AM+PM vitamins, which means one in the morning and one in the evening. A great way toremind yourself is to leave your morning vitamin on your desk, bag or car, andto leave your nighttime vitamin next to your bed.
If you don’t always remember to take your vitamins, try setting an alarm on your phone or ask a loved one to remind you. If you don’t want to take the whole bottle with you throughout the day, put your vitamins into a small container that will easily fit into your bag.
MORNING
I recommendsupplementing with your breakfast. It’s best to consume vitamins withoutcaffeine, which can prohibit the absorption of vitamins and minerals.
Here aresome supplements I take every morning:
- Iodine: Iodione, is great for energy production because of its ability to enhance the thyroid and metabolism, which drives energy.
- Good-quality fish oil: It helps to fight inflammation, support cardiovascular health and maintain brain health and cognitive function.
- Good-quality probiotic: It’s important to take care of your gut as having healthy microbiome helps you absorb your minerals with ease. It’s beneficial to take a good-quality probiotic in the morning, as it helps to boost your digestion throughout the day.
- Vitamins C, B5 and B6: Vitamins B5 and B6 support the health and function of the nervous system, and maintains energy levels. Vitamins B6, B12, and C, support healthy immune system function.
EVENING
I’m a big believer inestablishing a nighttime routine. As part ofthis, you want to take more calming, restorative supplements to help inducesleep. Here’s what I take every evening:
- Lavender: Our latest formulation contains lavender, which istraditionally used in Western herbal medicine to induce sleep, and it alsocontains lavender, which calms the mind and relieves disturbed or restlesssleep.
- Magnesium: I’ve long believed in the power of magnesium, whichis a mineral that maintains and supports nervous system function.
When it comes to taking vitamins, everyone is individual. Ensure that you’re guided by a health professional.
